Meadowlake
A remote part of Los Lunas, New Mexico
This small community is made up of mostly mobile homes and cheap housing. There's two markets, one gas station, one laundromat and a community center. The town of Los Lunas is seven miles away so Meadowlake residents go there for any needs that the local businesses can't meet.
Meadowlake is in a desert area nestled up again the mountains. It has dramatic sunsets and wide expanses of desert. The beauty of the desert is offset by the poverty of this community and shabby mobile homes that dot the landscape. It would be the ideal place to shoot this film, especially with New Mexico's tax incentives and burgeoning movie studios in nearby Albuquerque.
"Breaking Bad" fans might recognize this terrain, many scenes from the TV were filmed out in Meadowlake.
